The King's Matriculation School (KMS) was started in 1978 as a primary school to educate our children. In 1993 it became a full-fledged Matriculation school. By God's grace KMS now provides English-medium education from Lower Kindergarten through Standard X. 110 Pannai children are currently enrolled, with an overall student body numbering 610 students. We draw day students from the 28 surrounding villages, and many of them also come from poor backgrounds. A few of these students are supported by the Caruna Bal Vikas child sponsorship programme (initially Compassion International Program)as well as private scholarships.

We have a teaching staff of 23, supported by 3 attenders, 2 drivers and 1 conductor. As most of our students have illiterate parents, our job is quite challenging. We offer instruction in: English, Tamil, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History, Geography, Maths and Scripture. Most importantly, we strive to demonstrate to our students the love of our Living God. Prayer and moral lessons are conducted during assembly each morning.

King's Matriculation School's main campus moved to its present site in june,2003. The new classroom block was generously funded by Global Ministries, and Mrs. Anna Hunter sponsored the block that houses the school office, teachers lounge, computer lab, science labs and library. Lower Kindergarten to 3rd Standard students continue to study at the older campus, while 4th to 10th Standard students use the new block.
